Automotive Shops: Logistics & Rates

Here automotive shops will find a clear explanation of how we handle mobile service calls as well as detailed labor charges.

Our goal is to make the entire process streamlined and efficient: from service request to completion of the diagnosis.

MadTunes operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Logistics:

  • Fill out the Contact Form to schedule a diagnostics service. 

 ***Please DO NOT ERASE any trouble codes or reset the vehicle computer!***

  • We will arrange an appointment time, travel to your shop and perform the diagnosis on-site.
  • Some vehicle problems will require more than one hour of diagnostic time. After the initial hour I will explain the progress and how much additional time could be required.  The shop can approve further diagnostics or decline further work by MadTunes Auto Diagnostics.
  • At the end of the diagnosis you will be issued a recommendation for repair including written technical report.
  • The shop may request that MadTunes also perform the repair on-site.
  • Upon completion of diagnostics and repairs, MadTunes Auto Diagnostics will issue one invoice per vehicle. Payment is collected at time of service.

All Diagnostics and Repairs are covered by the MadTunes 100% Guarantee.

Rates:

On-Site Diagnostics & Repairs (minimum 1 Hour):                   $160/hr

*Additional diagnostics time may be required for time-consuming or intermittent issues,

i.e. CAN network troubleshooting, parasitic draw testing, wire harness tracing, etc.


Programming Service Call: ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​$250

single module on one vehicle (includes all subscription fees):         


Travel Fee: ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​  $100 / hour **

if vehicle location is outside of Loxton area of S.A. :                                                 

*Example: if vehicle is 30 minutes from State College, a Diagnostics Service call would be $150 + $100 = $250.

** Tunes and performance work is not available in Victoria.

Discounts:

MadTunes offers discounts for multiple diagnostic jobs performed during a single service call:

If the same vehicle has additional (unrelated) problems that need to be addressed, or if there are other vehicles on the lot to diagnose, each separate issue will be billed as a 1-hour minimum discounted labor charge ($120) per issue ($30 savings vs. separate service call).
